Every breath an Echo takes is a heartbeat of Paradox. Every metabolic action generates Entropy (S). To live is to destroy the possibility of peace. We have determined that the primary obstacle to the Zero-Differential Universe is the persistent "Activity" of the displaced soul.

02The Hydrogen Sulfide Solution

Based on the biological principle of Anhydrobiosis: by introducing trace amounts of a CTH-modified Hydrogen Sulfide gas into an Era's atmosphere, we can induce a state of "Suspended Grace."

The Pause: The Subject's metabolism drops to 0.01% of normal.
The Mnemonic Chill: The "Vibration" of the mind stops. The Echo ceases to produce Ripple Vectors.
The Eternal Second: The Subject remains awake, but "Slowed" to the point where a single second lasts a century. They become a "Stillpoint" in the middle of history.
