GEOMETRY MATTERS

§1 — Look for the Spiral

In some Future Eras — specifically those rebuilt after the 2112 Shattering — cities don't follow a grid. They follow the Golden Angle (137.5°). The Authority calls them "Optimal Packing Zones." We call them the Spiral Cities.

Because the layout is mathematically irrational, the Ripple Vector cannot find a straight line to travel. A paradox generated at the Core doesn't spread — it gets caught in the spiral and rotates indefinitely. The math of the city eats the evidence.

§2 — Navigational Rules

Always walk in a curve. If you walk in a straight line, the city recognizes you as a Foreign Body and redacts you. No exceptions.
The 137.5° Trap: Turn the wrong corner and you may arrive in a street that only exists for 1/1,000th of a second. You will experience this as being briefly somewhere else and then nowhere.
Golden Ratio Hunger: If you are too Stable — too much Coherence — the city may attempt to Fracture you to fill a gap in its own geometry. Stay slightly loose.
Never go to the Center. The Authority built the center. The center is a drain.

§3 — The Core Warning

Do not get lost in the Center. At the geometric center, time approaches a singularity. A single step forward may move you forward by years. A single step back may move you forward by decades.

The Authority built the center specifically to catch Echoes who have been running long enough to want the shortcut. The center is not freedom. The center is a drain. The city spirals inward toward a point where the math becomes infinite, and infinite math is their territory, not ours.
