CASE: 06-FLUKE
SUBJECT: ECHO-UNIT "SILAS" — ORIGIN 1994, BOSTON
DATE: OCTOBER 12, 1888 (RECURSION 4,112)
STATUS: ACTIVE — EXHAUSTION PROTOCOL
Section 1.0 // Incident Overview
The "Dusk-Clamper" Phenomenon
The subject, identified as Echo-Unit "Silas" (Origin: 1994, Boston), has entered a state of irreversible Circadian Hijack. Silas is currently manifesting the behavior patterns associated with the Dicrocoelium dendriticum (Lancet Liver Fluke) anomaly.
While his biological form remains that of a human male, his causal drive has been entirely overwritten by a suicidal recursion loop centered on a singular historical node: the death of his sister during the 1888 Great Blizzard.
He was a person once. I've read his Origin file. He had a dog. He liked baseball. The Fluke didn't find an empty vessel — it found someone who already couldn't let go.
Section 2.0 // Behavioral Analysis
The Clamp
In biological fluke infections, the parasite forces an ant to climb to the tip of a grass blade at dusk and "clamp" down with its mandibles, waiting to be consumed by a grazing animal. In the Chronoverse, Silas exhibits a Temporal Clamp:
- THE TRIGGER: As the "Dusk" of his personal timeline approaches — the 24-hour window preceding the traumatic event — Silas experiences a surge of Paradox Tension.
- THE ASCENT: He is compelled to navigate to the exact geographic coordinates of the trauma.
- THE LOCK: He "clamps" onto the timeline, repeating his failed attempt to save his sister. He does not seek a different outcome; he seeks the completion of the tragedy.
He doesn't want to win. He just needs to be there when it happens. Every time. The Fluke found the one wound that never stopped bleeding and made it load-bearing.
Section 3.0 // Forensic Impact
Causal Erosion Data
Each time Silas "clamps" and is "consumed" by the event, he generates a Ripple Vector of:
R = 0.85 // HIGH-FREQUENCY REPETITION — EROSION CONFIRMED
This high-frequency repetition is causing localized Causal Erosion. The 1888 Blizzard in this sector is becoming "thicker" — more intense and harder to redact — because Silas is reinforcing its tragic weight through sheer mnemonic volume.
He's making the storm worse just by grieving inside it. Every loop, the snow falls harder. By recursion 4,112 the Blizzard has killed 40% more people than its original casualty count. His love is a weapon he doesn't know he's holding.
Section 4.0 // Auditor Recommendation
The Exhaustion Protocol
We cannot "un-clamp" the subject. The Fluke-Logic has integrated with his brainstem. If we redact Silas, the hole left in the 1888 narrative will trigger a Shattering.
We have deployed Scavenger Cleaners to harvest the "Exhausted Coherence" he sheds during each death. Silas is no longer an Echo; he is a Causal Battery. We will let him graze until his Emotional Mass reaches zero.
μ CURRENT: 0.31 // PROJECTED DEPLETION: RECURSION 4,891 ± 12
We are farming him. We are running a man through his worst memory on a loop and collecting the grief-runoff like rainwater. And I filed the paperwork for it. I used the standard form.
Closing Note // Case Management
Allow Silas to continue the loop. We will let him graze until his Emotional Mass (μ) reaches zero.
Estimated case closure: Recursion 4,891. At that point, the 1888 Blizzard will require standard redaction to remove accumulated Causal Density. Silas will be reclassified as Spent Asset and archived.
